Big Meat Run founder John Sumner and his wife Edie are pleased to welcome you to this year's much-anticipated event.
John Sumner's Big Meat Run takes place between the little towns of Disney and Langley. It has been deemed one of the largest events in the State of Oklahoma, with over 14,000 people converging and filling every campground and hotel space within a 70-mile radius, as the event draws people from all over the United States.
John Sumner has been in the machine business for over forty years and is the proud owner of Sumner Machine Works in Arkansas City, Kansas. The native Oklahoman started the Big Meat Run as a customer appreciation event over a decade ago with only 12 participants. He had no idea that the event would turn into the happening that it is today.
Dedicated to keeping the event in Oklahoma, the Sumners invite everyone, young and old, to come and join in on the fun or to sit back and watch as everyday people join together to do some crazy and amazing things...all in the name of fun!
