Kevin Baker is the Pastor of New Life Foursquare Church in Vinita, OK, and is a Divisional Superintendent for Oklahoma and Arkansas and serves on the Board of Directors for the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. He is an avid revivalist, believing that a new move of the Holy Spirit is stirring in the body of Christ at this very moment. This “fresh wind” of God has been evident in his own congregation each week as people can be found raising their hands, kneeling, and on their faces in worship. His passion for Bible teaching is made even more powerful by his ability to put even the deepest truths of the Word and the original texts in language accessible to everyone.
In his more than 18 years at New Life, Kevin has impacted the Kingdom of God locally and around the world through teaching, mentoring, missions, and community outreach. His work in missions has been both physical -- traveling to Israel, Uruguay, Papua New Guinea, Uruguay, Brazil, and El Salvador nine times -- and financial, raising thousands of dollars to further work in those countries. Community outreach programs include diaper giveaways and food distributions to the needy in rural Oklahoma. Prior to pastoring New Life, Kevin spent seven years in full time ministry as a youth pastor and worship leader and eight years as an inner-city high school band director in Dallas, Texas. His greatest strengths are his ability to build relationships, his compassion for others, and his sense of humor.
Kevin and his wife, Shannon - who have been married for 29 years - have truly partnered in ministry and life. They have four children, Katie - 26, a graduate of Oral Roberts University and full-time Foursquare Missionary in El Salvador, Seth - 22, serves as the Youth Pastor at New Life, Grady - 17, and Olivia - 15. Kevin received his B.A. in Music Education from Oklahoma City University and is a gifted worshipper and musician. He was licensed with the Foursquare Church in 2000 and received his ordination in 2011.
