Grand Lake Community Ministry AKA The Blue House

About Us...

   A lay organization started in 1985. The purpose of G.L.C.M. is to provide temporary assistance to individuals or families in need. Assistance is given in Christian love with "no strings attached". An opportunity is given to obtain spiritual assistance from ministers of participating churches.
G.L.C.M. extends aid through the Blue House located at 268 West Broadway Avenue Langley, OK. Clothing, food pantry, and utility assistance are available from 9:30am to 11:30am on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Household items and donated furniture are available 10am to 12pm on Monday. All workers are volunteers, donating their time and resources. All donations, financial, furniture, household items, or clothing, are tax deductible. The Blue House can be contacted at 918-782-2861 during working hours.

Assistance that we provide...

Food Pantry

Grand Lake Community ministry participates in The Community Food Bank Of Eastern Oklahoma. The generosity of local Food Drives from area schools, churches, and businesses such as Reasor's, and individuals contribute to our ability to provide food for our community members in need.

Food Pantry Recipients

Qualifying Families receive 2 bags of non-perishable and perishable food. Families of more than four members are provided with additional items based on the number in the family.

Current donations needed for the Food Pantry:

Ramen noodles, jelly (any kind), crackers, peanut butter, canned meat, vegetables and fruit, toilet paper.

Clothing and Household supplies

We furnish clothing for all ages for men, women & children. Layettes are available for newborns along with diapers when we have a supply. Household items are available on Mondays.

Current donations needed are:

Gently used infant or children's clothing, men's pants (any size),bed linens, blankets, pots & pans, flatware, towels & wash cloths.

Utility Assistance as available

Grand Lake Community Ministry gives assistance with utilities bills for those who meet income qualifications. We do not pay deposits or reconnect fees. At this time, we are not helping with rent, house payments, telephone service or fuel.
