Chain Link is a durable very low maintenance fence option for your residence. Also it is a very effective type of fence to keep critters out of your backyard or garden area. The options for posts are the budget friendly traditional wood posts, and the durable galvanized steel posts. Upgrading to steel posts has long term benefits of structural soundness that will outlast wooden posts due to wooden posts not lasting as long in constant contact with the ground and areas of excessive moisture.
Other upgrades to wood fences are adding a cap and trim to enhance the look of the fence and provide that clean finished look. Another great way to upgrade the appearance of your fence is staining it to preserve the life of the fence and keep moisture out of the wood.
Vinyl is virtually maintenance free! Almost every other type of fencing requires some maintenance- but not vinyl.
