Bob McSpadden Annual Fireworks Show in Vinita Rescheduled to Friday, July 7

With a forecast of rain threatening to dampen the fun, the Vinita Area Chamber of Commerce has rescheduled its annual Fourth of July celebration and fireworks show.

Originally set for June 30, the Bob McSpadden Annual Fireworks show will now be held Friday, July 7.

The rescheduled Independence Day celebration will include a fire truck with sprinkler hose and bounce house for the kids. The Cub Scouts will hold a flag ceremony and lead the Pledge of Allegiance. The national anthem will be performed by Bethany O’Neill.

There also be plenty of food and drinks on hand, including a Kona Ice truck and Italian Ice truck, as well as Maw and Paw kettle corn and dipped cheesecake. In addition, Vinita High School cheerleaders will have hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks for sale.

All the fun will take place on the Vinita High School football field, off Hope Road and Ashland Street. The gates open at 7:30 p.m. and the fireworks show will begin at dark.
