Celebrate Mother’s Day in Grand Style on Grand Lake

By Martha J. Henderson

“All that I am or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.”

                                               — Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln understood the importance his mother played in his life.

And, while your mother might not have raised a president of the United States, you know there is no one in the world who can fill the place she has in your heart.

Mother’s Day is the time to honor your mother (or grandmother or that special maternal figure in your life) for the role she has played in your life.

This Mother’s Day, thank mom for her hard work and the selfless love she’s shown by taking her out for a grand meal at one of the following Grand Lake restaurants.

Just leave the cooking — and cleaning — to them and spend the day celebrating mom.

Bobber’s Cafe

Start mom’s special day off with a delicious home-cooked breakfast at Bobber’s Cafe, 1658 North 3rd Street, in the Grand Village Shopping Center in Langley.

The menu ranges from traditional offerings such as omelets, biscuits and gravy, pancakes and waffles to specialty items like flatbread breakfast, which is a combo of flatbread, mozzarella, bacon, egg and creamy hollandaise sauce.

If mom wants to sleep in late, catch lunch or even dinner at Bobber’s Cafe.

From appetizers like jalapeño corn fritters, fried green tomatoes or fried pickles to salads, burgers and entrees like chicken fried chicken and hand-batter liver with grilled onions, the menu has something that is sure to make mom happy.

Regardless of what mom chooses for her meal, you can be assured her delicious homestyle dish will be served with a smile.
