Cherokee Nation, Delaware County celebrate opening of Cherokee Casino Grove
Cherokee Nation Entertainment brings 175 jobs to Grand Lake Area
Cherokee Nation and the Grand Lake community are celebrating 175 new jobs to the area, as the new Cherokee Casino Grove opens. A ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration will be held Tuesday, January 17, at 1 p.m. The event is open to the public.
The tribe broke ground on the new 39,000-square-foot gaming destination in March 2016.
The new facility offers 400 electronic games, a full-service bar, a live music venue, a dance floor, and a restaurant serving lunch and dinner. The rustic, lodge-style venue features an outdoor patio and event space for hosting private and community events.
Cherokee Casino Grove is the tribe’s 10th casino. Cherokee Nation Entertainment is the wholly owned gaming, hospitality, retail and tourism entity of the Cherokee Nation.
The new casino is located near Highway 59 and East 250 Road, just northwest of Grove.
