For the love of food, we’ve rounded up a list of Grand Lake area restaurants offering dinner specials and inspired menus this Valentine’s Day that will help sweep your valentine off their feet.
Grand Lake’s finest dining experience, The Summit Restaurant at Shangri-La Resort is celebrating the holiday with a Valentine’s Couples Dining Experience, February 14-16.
Executive Chef Michael Bujold has prepared a special four-course menu for the dining experience, which is open to the public for all three nights.
The Summit’s Valentine’s dinner will begin with an amuse bouche. A gift from the chef, this will be a surprise, small, single-bite dish from the kitchen. The first course will feature choice of three appetizers, Truffle Scallop, Asian Fusion Nacho or Smoked Rib Eye and Rosti. The salad course offers choice of Baby Artichoke Salad, Exotic Winter Salad or Peach and Prosciutto Salad. The choice of entrées in the third course include Papperdelle with Prawns, Surf and Turf or Pecan-Smoked Duck La Cerise. Last but definitely not least is the dessert course with choice of Mexican Hot Chocolate, Strawberry Cheesecake Tuxedo Chocolate Ganache or Champagne-Poached Peaches. Several of the dishes are gluten-free.
Terry Jordan will provide the entertainment for all three nights at The Summit.
The Valentine’s Couples Dining Experience at The Summit is $120 per couple or $175 with a special bottle of wine.

Enjoy fine food in a casual atmosphere at Doc’s Bar and Grill at the Shangri-La Resort dining destination celebrates Valentine’s Day with three nights of spectacular Valentine dinners February 14-16.
From 5 to 10 p.m. each night, Executive Chef Michael Bujold will present a special four-course menu. The dinner begins with choice of Chef Rodney Asian Smoked Ribs, Artichoke Beignets or Cajun BBQ Shrimp for an appetizer and either Tomato Bisque or Winter Roasted Beet Salad for the second course. The dinner offering includes Chicken Piccata, Hawaiian Sea Bass or Beef Wellington as the entrée choices. For dessert choose either Chocolate Love or a Trio of Desserts.

Treat your special someone to a romantic dinner at the Lighthouse Restaurant this Valentine’s Day.
A Grand Lake favorite known for serving the area’s best steaks, the Lighthouse Restaurant will be offering a Valentine’s Dinner Special for Two, featuring a Filet with Shrimp is served with a baked potato, salad and dessert for $80, or $90 with two glasses of wine.
A complimentary rose will be presented to each couple.
The valentine’s dinner special will be available Thursday, Feb. 13, Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15.
Reservations are recommended, but not required. First come, first served.

The Parrot Steakhouse and Grill
Your valentine deserves a night to remember and what better place to take them than somewhere they won’t forget? A tropical oasis on Grand Lake, The Parrot Steakhouse and Grill in Grove is offering several holiday specials that are sure to delight.
The specials include Fresh Chilean Sea Bass with Mango Salsa served on a bed of wild rice with mushrooms and includes sautéd veggies and a salad, and Fire-Roasted Prime Rib served with baked potato and veggie.
The Parrot is also offering two Valentine Pasta Specials for Two — Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and a salad for $19.99 or Cajun Pasta and a salad for $12.99 per person. A Kansas City Strip Special for Two that includes baked potato, veggie and a salad for $39.99 will also be available.
The Valentine’s Day specials will be available from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14.

Celebrate your loved one at Stuff’ns Cafe this Valentine’s Day with a delicious dinner that requires no reservations.
From 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, Stuff’ns Cafe will be offering a special Valentine’s Day Dinner for Two, For only $25, the dinner includes choice of a Hamburger Steak Dinner or Grilled Chicken Dinner, served with fries, salad and toast, as well as strawberry shortcake and iced tea.
Don’t have a sitter? Include the kiddos in your valentine celebration and bring them with you to Stuff’ns Cafe, which offers a kid’s menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can treat the whole family to a great valentine’s meal and still have extra for ice cream, which Stuff’ns Cafe also offers.

An award-winning dining option, Twin Bridges Restaurant at the River Bend Casino Hotel in Wyandotte redefines the dining experience with incredible flavors, amazing service and a comfortable atmosphere.

The Valentine’s Day menu also includes steak options: Peppercorn 12 ounce KC Strip, Bourbon-Marinated 10 ounce Rib Eye, Garlic and Herb 8 ounce Sirloin and an 8 ounce Filet with Smoked Garlic and Truffle Butter.
Seafood specials include a 5 ounce Split Grilled Lobster Tail with Garlic Butter, Crispy Battered Fried Shrimp, Creamy Lobster Mac and Cheese with Double Smoked Honey-Glazed Bacon and Split King Crab Legs.
