Grove Food Truck Friday to feature Grand Lake creative artists
Volunteers Linda Moore and Karon Wheat staffed a table for the Grove Area Creative Alliance at a past Food Truck Friday at Grove. The Food Truck Friday on May 5 will have an artistic flair, with creative artworks and performances on hand. The arts emphasis was organized by the Creative Alliance as part of its “Imagine Grand” promotional initiative.
Grove’s Food Truck Friday will feature area creative artists and artisans on Friday, May 5, on the Grove Community Center Lawn. The special focus on the creative arts is being organized by the Grove Area Creative Alliance through its “Imagine Grand” promotional initiative.
The event runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., in front of the Community Center on Third Street in Grove.
Judi Barber, chair of the Creative Alliance, said the evening will include an arts festival and live entertainment, with local artworks and creative activities on display. There will be performances by David Bridges and the Message, as well as by Grove High School Bands and Chorus, she said.
The evening also will include creations by STEM students, a photo contest, and recognition of the winners of the local Youth Arts Show. Tables will be set up by the Grove Playmakers, Lendonwood Gardens, Brush and Palette Club, Har-Ber Village and others. There will be drawings and giveaways, Barber said.
“The Creative Alliance is working to highlight all the many artistic and creative talents around the Grand Lake area,” Barber noted. “We want to help enrich our community with a heightened awareness and involvement in the creative arts. This arts emphasis at Food Truck Friday is another way of shining a spotlight on our community’s creativity.”
