Grand Lake Casino Annual Charity Golf and Blackjack Tournament is Teeing off Friday, Sept. 13. The tournaments will benefit the Seneca Cayuga Youth Camp.
Grove, Okla., Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 (Grand Lake Casino) — What could be better than one round of golf to raise money for charity? One round of golf followed by a round of blackjack tournaments and all played for a good cause.
For its 15th annual event, Grand Lake Casino's Charity Golf and Blackjack Tournament of golf and blackjack fun on Friday, Sept. 13.
The tournament tees off Friday, Sept. 13, with a golf and blackjack tournament for the casino’s gaming vendors only.
The $500 foursome fee enters the players in both tournaments and includes cart, lunch and door prizes. The entrance fee is $125 for individuals, who will be paired with other players on the day of the tournament.
Over the years, the Grand Lake Casino Charity Golf and Blackjack Tournament has raised more than $175,000 for local charities. This year’s annual event will benefit the Seneca Cayuga Youth Camp.
“With the help and support of sponsors, donors, and players, we have been able to raise more than $175,000. All donations have been distributed to local charities since the tournament’s conception,” said Grand Lake Casino General Manager Dusty Logan. “This year, we are excited to help our tribe host summer camps for our youth. These camps will offer an opportunity to learn the history, stories, and traditions of the Nation, resulting in a youth more engaged in the life and future of our tribe.”
tournament is a 4-person scramble. The event will include a $2,000 Money Added Skins Game with a $100 entry fee per team. If no skins are out, all monies will be donated to the Seneca Cayuga Youth Camp.
The blackjack tournament will be held at Grand Lake Casino one hour after the last golf team finishes, at approximately 4 p.m.
Lunch will be served on the golf course, and hors d’oeuvres will be served at the casino before and during the blackjack tournament.
Registration for the charity tournament is at 8 a.m.; however, pre-registration is preferred.
Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third-place finishers, as well as closest to the pin, men’s longest drive and women’s longest drive.
The blackjack tournament will have a $1,500 guaranteed payout.
Twelve hands will be dealt during each round of the blackjack tournament. The player with the most money at the end of these rounds will advance to the next round. The final table of six will be guaranteed a cash payout.
The golf tournament location is the Patricia Island Country Club, located at 4980 Clubhouse Road, in Grove, while the blackjack tournament will take place in Venue 655, at Grand Lake Casino, 24701 S. 655 Road.
