Flag Replacement

Rotarians Kenneth Flowers (left) and Michael Mick replaced a flag along Highway 59 on Thursday. The high winds and rain that struck Grove on Monday damaged many of the nearly 200 flags that line Highway 59 and Main Street. Each year the Grove Rotary purchases the flags that line the 16 miles of highway.  Members place the flags out each spring and then take them down in mid-November.  On Thursday, about a dozen Rotarians replaced and straightened the tattered and wind-whipped flags. More than 40 flags had to be replaced.
