Booklovers can welcome the New Year with some healthy self-indulgence: reading books and audiobooks checked out at the library – as many as possible – between January 3 and March 15. The Friends of the Langley Public Library are sponsoring a Reading Contest open to library patrons ages 18 and up.

It’s easy! Come by the Langley Library and get your Reading Log sheet. Check out a book, or audio book read/listen to it, and enter the information into your Reading Log. You will receive one entry into the drawing for each book you read. Five people will win one of five gift bags filled with all kinds of goodies at the end of the contest.

If you are not a current patron of the library, don’t worry. Membership is free and easy to obtain. Stop by the circulation desk and ask for a membership form, fill it out and return it. Your membership also gives you access to many opportunities including free public access computers for research, social media, and business.
