Grand River Dam Authority Floodwater News Release
At 09:45 AM on Tuesday, May 7:
- Grand Lake elevation was 745.72 feet. Daily target elevation for May 7 is 742.40 feet.
- At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, four (4) main and three (3) east spillway gates were open at Pensacola Dam, discharging 38,800 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
- Six (6) units were online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing 13,541 cfs of water through generation.
- Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 52,341 cfs.
- Inflows into Grand Lake totaled 35,339 cfs.
- Lake Hudson elevation was 627.20 feet. Normal elevation is 619 feet.
- At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, three (3) gates were open at Robert S. Kerr Dam, discharging 51,550 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
- Four (4) units were online at the Robert S. Kerr Dam powerhouse, releasing 29,430 cfs of water through generation.
- Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 80,980 cfs.
- Inflows into Lake Hudson totaled 55,117 cfs.
