$5,651 Awarded to Two Student Science Programs

The Grove Rotary Club recently awarded $5,651 to two student science groups.

The Grand Lake Area Robotics Education (G.L.A.R.E.) which provides STEM education and FROG robotics programs for area youth was awarded a grant by the Grove Rotary Club. Jeanne Smith accepted a check for $4,500 from Kristi Wallace, the chair of the Charitable Giving Committee.

A grant of $1,151 was recently awarded by the Grove Rotary Club to the Independent Research Club. The club provides support of area students to attend out-of-town science fairs including registration fees, hotels and project items. Charitable Giving Committee chair Kristi Wallace presented the check to Valarie Epperson.
