Amazing August Weekend at Shangri-La
The first weekend of August and we’re looking for sunshine, light breezes, and high temperatures in the mid-80s. It doesn’t get any better than that for a great weekend of golf – and ours is FULL. It’s Run a Monkey time, and we’re delighted to have this great group back for their annual tournament with practice rounds Thursday and tournament play Friday & Saturday. Saturday is also the SLWGA-sponsored Women’s Scramble (12:15 shotgun) and we are also hosting the PGA Oakley Cup competition Saturday & Sunday. Monday, the Women’s Golf Association will take to the course for the final round of their 2017 Eclectic Tournament.
This week, we are also pleased to welcome Novartis Pharmaceutical, Branch Communications, the Durbin, Larimore, Bialick law firm, the Luper Party and the Bulten Group who are joining us at Shangri-La.
Many of our regular Friday “Yellow Rabbit Run” Horse Race competitors are playing in the Run a Monkey Tournament, so there will be no Horse Race Friday afternoon. We’ll be back with the “Yellow Rabbit Run” next week.
It’s a big weekend at Eddy’s Lakeside Bar, too. Friday & Saturday nights, we will feature live musical entertainment by Uninvited Guest.
Remember, the Spa at Shangri-La is now open at the hotel Thursday-Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Call 918-257-4204, Extension 7008 for reservations for massage therapy, manicures, pedicures, IV therapy, botox or filler treatment. The girls at the spa also have mani-pedi packages for kids!
