Fun and Busy Easter Weekend at Shangri-La
It is certainly a busy Easter weekend at Shangri-La. We hope you will join us Good Friday as a participant in our Shangri-La Blood Drive. Working in conjunction with the Oklahoma Blood Institute, the Arkansas Blood Institute, and the Texas Blood Institute, we will be collecting blood Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Holderman Ballroom at the resort hotel. If you’re in the giving spirit, please join us. We’ll have T-shirts and some of Chef Julie’s delicious treats for you.
This holiday weekend, Chef Michael has put together an incredible menu for Easter Sunday Brunch at the Summit (10:00-3:00 - $40 per person/$20 for children 12 and under). This is always an extremely popular event, so make your reservations soon if you haven’t already done so (918-257-4200 or emailsummit@shangrilaok.com.
Be sure to bring the youngsters because we will also have an Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 1:00 p.m. on the north patio of the Club House. Bring your cameras, too. The Easter Bunny will be there.
Ladies, Sunday is also the last day to sign up for the season kick-off Shangri-La Women’s Golf Association brunch which will be held in the Charles Davis Room at the club house at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7. There is a sign-up sheet in the Golf Shop.
We are also delighted to welcome the AMGEN group to Shangri-La this week; and we will be involved in some off-campus activities, as well. Our Sales & Catering teams will be in Vinita Wednesday (3:00-7:00), spreading the word at the Vinita Area Chamber of Commerce Business Expo and Job Fair at the Craig County Fairgrounds.
Doc’s Bar & Grill is the best place to watch the big conclusions of both the men’s and women’s basketball seasons with all the NCAA Tournament Final Four games this weekend and, of course, the championship games to follow.
Remember, too, Doc’s Bar & Grill now offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. Demand for pizza delivery has grown quickly, so we now have a number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
