Fun and fabulous weekend at Shangri-La
The Shangri-La Team is offering support to one of our very favorite charity events this week. Executive Pasty Chef Julie Morgan has pulled out all the stops – and we’ll be sharing the sweets at the Home of Hope Chocolate Affair Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 at the Craig County Fairgrounds in Vinita. Come join the fun!
Speaking of fun – we’ll be celebrating Mardi Gras Saturday at Doc’s Bar & Grill with an incredible Cajun Buffet from noon until 8:00 p.m. ($25). You won’t want to miss that!
Tuesday is also election day on Monkey Island. If you live on the Island, we urge you join us with your “YES” vote for bonds to improve our fire and medical emergency services facilities on the Island.
Valentine's Day is also just around the corner and our culinary crew has the perfect gift - Valentine's-to-Go from our food & beverage team. We are offering a dozen chocolate covered strawberries ($24), a dozen red velvet cake pops ($36), a dozen Valentine macaroons ($28) or mini chocolate ganache cakes ($15 each). Mark your calendars for your choice of outstanding upcoming dining options at Shangri-La. In addition to Saturday’s Mardi Gras Buffet, Doc’s will also offer special Valentine Dinner Specials ($40 per person) on Valentine’s Day February 14, and the following Friday & Saturday, February 16-17. Our members may want to choose the more intimate atmosphere of the Summit Restaurant for Valentine’s celebrations. We have planned an extraordinary menu with “Dinner for Two” options ($150 per couple) both Friday & Saturday nights, February 16-17.
We are also offering Valentine room specials at the hotel – room, sweets, and champagne for as little as $149 per night February 9-17. Upgrades on both rooms and champagne are available at reduced pricing, as well. The Spa at Shangri-La is featuring Valentine Couples’ specials, too. That might be the perfect gift!
Chef Michael has put together another fabulous menu for this week’s Sunday Brunch at the Summit. This week’s menu features Southern Ham & Cheese Eggs Benedict with breakfast potatoes ($12), Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuits with potatoes ($12), Cranberry Walnut French Toast with a side of bacon ($12), and a Philly Cheese Steak Omelette with seasoned breakfast potatoes ($15). The full Buffalo Bar menu is available Sunday, as well.
We’re excited to have the Tulsa Fraternal Order of Police 93 Health & Welfare Trust with us this week as they do a little planning for the future. We hope you, too, will spend a little time with us at Shangri-La.
