Upcoming Events at Shangri-La
May 25-31, 2017
The Memorial Holiday weekend is always a busy time – and we have a loaded weekend schedule at Shangri-La. We have already had a great time this week with golfers from the Beyers Golf Group, the Hole-in-One group, and the golf group from Indigo Sky Casino. This is the week for the infamous “Lying, Cheating Scoundrels” golf tournament, and we welcome the Mark Sell Golf Group on Friday.
Members of Shangri-La's "Wine Club" will start the holiday weekend with a "Wine Mingle." Wine Club members will meet in the club house lobby to share a little wine to kick off the weekend.
Friday’s Horse Race at 5:00 is the first Alternate Shot play of the year. If you would like to enter, the fee is $10. Sign up in the Golf Shop. Saturday, is Callaway Demo Day with golf club demos and fittings on Callaway clubs from 9:00-1:00. Due to the holiday, the Shangri-La Women’s Golf Association play day has moved from Monday to Tuesday this week. 18-holers will play the “Guess Your Score” format while 9-holers will play “Poker.” Tuesday’s play day is also a Grand Lady Qualifier.
If you haven’t tried the fare at the all-new Eddy’s Lakeside Bar at the marina, we hope you’ll give it a shot this holiday weekend. We have been overwhelmed and humbled by the fabulous response from the Grand Lake community.
Remember, we are now open for golf seven-days-a-week. The Summit Restaurant and Buffalo Bar are also open to members and resort guests seven days a week for lunch – and Thursday-Sundayfor dinner. Eddy’s is open daily right now, as well, at least until we can offer additional daily dining options at Doc’s in the hotel (11-8 Thursday; 11-late Friday, Saturday & Sunday this week, 11-8 Monday-Wednesday).
