Sing a song, eat some shrimp, test your trivia knowledge, eat some tacos, sharpen your bartending skills, explore your artistic side, drink a little scotch, play a little golf, play in a scramble, play in a horse race, watch a movie, enjoy a great band, dance the night away, and enjoy a great Sunday brunch. Those are a few of your options at Shangri-La this week.
The weekend starts Thursday afternoon at 5:00 on the golf course with our regular Thursday Night Scramble. We’ll kick off the weekend fun at Doc’s with Chef Mike’s fabulous food and Jason Morgan’s great entertainment at the Thursday Night Cave Karaoke & Shrimp Boil on the patio at Doc’s from 6:00-9:00.
Friday night is packed with options. At 5:00 on the Buffalo Bar Balcony, Chef Mike and his team will host a Bartending Class for members. For $25 you can learn to improve your favorite drink, learn new recipes, and become a master of mixology! The best part is – you drink what you make!
If your artistic side (or your wine sipping side) is calling, sign up for Friday evening’s Sip & Paint event in the Cave on Doc’s Patio at 6:00 ($35 cash only). Sip a little wine, dab a little paint. Friday at 5:00 is also our regular “Yellow Rabbit Run Horse Race” (sign up at the golf shop). Join us poolside at 8:15 for our Friday Night Movie at the Pool. This week’s feature film is Avatar.
Saturday morning we will have a Free Driver Clinic and Fitting on the practice tees from 8:00-10:00. Saturday afternoon from 1:00-4:00 we offer a Women’s Small Group Players Clinic.
The fun continues Saturday night at Eddy’s with a performance by one of the most popular bands in the area – Western Justice. Don’t forget your dancing shoes!
If you are planning on attending the big “Taste of Grand” festival at Integris Grove’s hospital campus Saturday night, be sure to join the Shangri-La culinary crew. We’ll have a variety of delicacies for attendees at this popular event supporting a great cause – the Integris Grove Hospital Foundation.
Monday, we’ll offer Golf Course Fishing from 8:30-10:00 and the SLWGA ladies will have their regular Play Day (Low Putts).
SUNDAY BRUNCH AT DOC’S!
Sunday Brunch at Doc’s is served from 9:00-2:00. Doc’s is always open to the general public; and brunch specials are priced at $14-$15. In addition to our regular menu items, this week’s Sunday Brunch Specials include Jenkins Avenue Benedict, a Pizza Sub, Lemon Delight Pancakes, a Greek Omelet and a Creole Quesadilla.
Remember, too, that Doc’s Bar & Grill offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
TRIVIA, TACOS AND TEQUILA TUESDAY
Next week, we’re starting a great new weekly event – Trivia, Tacos, and Tequila Tuesday. Test your trivia knowledge while enjoying $5 margaritas and $3 tacos. This is a weekly event at Doc’s Bar & Grill – every Tuesday from 6:00-9:00.
