Upcoming Events at Shangri-La August 23-29, 2018
There’s a lot happening at Shangri-La this pre-holiday week – both on the golf course and at the resort. The Tommy Moss Memorial Golf Tournament is Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and participants will be arriving Sunday for the 3rd Annual Shangri-La Couples Invitational Tournament Monday and Tuesday. Our regular Friday night “Yellow Rabbit Run” Horse Race is at 5:00 o’clock Friday (sign up at the Golf Shop). Monday, the SLWGA ladies will also be on the course for their regular Play Day, as will the Special Olympics Golf Team from The Home of Hope.
At the resort this week, in addition to the Tommy Moss players and the Couples Invitational participants, we are excited to welcome Dell EMC, Oklahoma Municipal Assurance, Oklahoma Ag Credit, AMGEN, Oklahoma Central Credit Union, the Marquart Golf Group and Grove Sun Newspaper/First National Bank of Vinita.
We have a great duo entertaining at Eddy’s Lakeside Bar Saturday night. Brett & Terri will perform from 8:00-11:00 Saturday night. Enjoy!

Chef Mike and his culinary crew have a very special Sunday Brunch line-up for the Summit Restaurant this week (10:00-2:00) and, as another option, Doc’s Bar & Grill offers a weekend Breakfast Buffet from 7:00 a.m.-Noon on Saturdays and Sundays. Choose from a Continental Breakfast or a full buffet.
In addition to PGA play and MLB, the NFL pre-season games are getting interesting. Doc’s Bar & Grill is Grand Lake’s favorite spot for watching sporting events. The restaurant is open daily for three meals, and also offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
