8th Annual Grand Dam Run!

Welcome to the 8th Annual Grand Dam Run!

Once again, the Cherokee Nation Wings Program and the South Grand Lake Lions are sponsoring the 5k, 10k and Fun Run across the historic Pensacola Dam on April 6, 2019.  All the proceeds from the race will benefit the South Grand Lake Lions Club, primarily the Ketchum High School Scholarship program.

We have ordered good weather for this event, so if you want to support a great cause and have a great time, get signed up today.   The cost of the race is $30 for the 10K, $25.00 for the 5k and $20.00 for the Dam Fun Run.  This is a USATF sanctioned and certified course mostly flat and fast.

Early packet pick up will be April 5, 2019, at the First Christian Church in Langley from 4:00 pm till 5:30 pm; same-day registration will be at 7:00 am on site.  The Fun run will begin at 8:00 am and the 5K and 10K  will begin at 8:30 am. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and top three female standard age groups in the 5K and 10K.

The Wings deadline is Wednesday, March 27, 2019, but you can still complete your entry and bring it the day of the event to compete.  The race will begin at the Veterans Honor Plaza at 220 West Cherokee Avenue, Langley, OK.  There will be plenty of parking; just watch for the signs.

 Even if you don’t participate, it is an awesome sight to see all those runners crossing the historic Pensacola Dam.  So come out and cheer them on!
