SC Pet Rescue "Cars for Critters" Car Show and Cruise on Saturday, August 18th
A great American pastime is cruising around town in classic cars. That's exactly what will be happening on Saturday, August 18th, in Grove, Oklahoma. The Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake is hosting its 7th annual "Cars for Critters" indoor car show at the Grove Civic Center from 11 am to 3 pm. There will be plenty of American Classic and European Exotic cars for the entire family to enjoy indoor while the August temperatures soar outside. The "Cars for Critters" car show will be great family fun for everyone of all ages to enjoy - all to raise funds for Second Chance Pet Rescue. Admission is free! There will be food, oldies music, raffles, and door prizes. Also, there will be a Dog Adoption showcasing several of our special shelter dogs wanting a forever family. After 3 pm, a car cruise will take place leaving the Civic Center on Main Street to Cheapo Depo parking lot on 3rd Street and return to the Civic Center. And, if you are a car enthusiast and have a sweet ride to show off, enter your car in the indoor car show. Classics, hot rods, trucks, motorcycles and special interest cars are all welcome. Car show registration will also be at the Grove Civic Center on Friday, August 17, after 4 pm (cars may be left inside Grove Civic Center overnight); and Saturday morning, August 18, from 7-11 am. Trophies will be awarded for "Best of Show", "People's Choice", and "Committee's Choice". Also awards for Top Models in categories Domestic Cars and Trucks, Import Cars, and Motorcycles, and dash plaques for all car entries. After 3 pm, cars will cruise from the Civic Center to 3rd Street and back.
