Grove Rotary Hosts Another Successful Lobsterfest Fundraiser
If there seemed to be a hint of salt in the air in Grove Friday, June 16, it had everything to do with the Grove Rotary’s eighth annual Lobsterfest.
Lobsters, flown in live from Maine and cooked onsite at the Grove Civic Center, were the main attraction during the popular fundraising event.
Hundreds of people turned out to enjoy the lobster dinners, which included clams, an egg and corn on the cob, and to support a good cause.
Lobsterfest is a fundraiser for the Grove Rotary. All proceeds from Lobsterfest are distributed back into the Grand Lake community through the Grove Rotary Foundation, which supports a wide range of charities and organizations.
In addition to the lobster (or steak) dinners, the evening included silent and live auctions, a wine pull, a large decorated cake courtesy of Harps and a photo booth where people posed with a giant lobster.
While the total monies raised at this year’s event is still being calculated, the eighth annual Lobsterfest appears to have been another successful event for the Grove Rotary. Check out the fun for yourself.
