Vintage By The Creek’s June Pop-Up Market Attracts Hundreds
Grand Lake’s outdoor pop-up market, Vintage By The Creek, held a tailgate party on Saturday, June 10, and hundreds of people stopped by to shop, socialize and have fun.
Set against a unique backdrop of vintage campers, Vintage By The Creek brings together an interesting collection of boutiques and vendors featuring new and trendy inventory, as well as one-of-a-kind items, antiques, vintage finds, retro pieces and hand-crafted treasures.
Nearly 60 vendors from Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas set up campers and tents or just spread their wares on the ground at Vintage By The Creek’s 1621 South Broadway location in Grove.
In addition to the wide variety of items for sale at the various vendors, the outdoor market offered a number of fun activities, including pony rides, rock painting with 918 Rocks, art classes, chair massages and wine tasting with DiamondHead Wine.
Banjo player Mac Sampson, 11, of Grove, entertained festival-goers by playing a selection of tunes throughout the day.
A variety of food trucks were on hand to quench the thirst and satisfy shoppers’ appetites. Children enjoyed playing in the bubbles pouring out from the Italian Ice truck.
Vintage By The Creek has two more pop-up markets planned for 2017: Sweet Autumn on October 7, and We Wish You A Merry! on November 11.
