Grand Lake Has Plenty to Offer Grown-Up Revelers This Halloween
Halloween is not just for kids anymore. And Grand Lake has plenty to offer those who have outgrown trick or treating but still want to have some spooky fun. We’re talking costume contests, drinks specials, live entertainment, limo rides and lots of fun.
To have a howling good time this Halloween, check out these events:
Get an early start on Halloween by creating your own pumpkin decoration at a jack o’lantern carving party Wednesday, Oct. 25. Hosted by the Juan Montez Restaurant and Bar, the Eat, Drink and Carve event begins at 7 p.m.
Adults are invited to bring their own pumpkin to carve. A prize will be awarded for the best pumpkin. Drink specials will be available until midnight. Everyone is invited to bring finger foods and come have a great time.

Halloween is coming early to the Cherokee Yacht Club and Marina on Grand Lake as it hosts a Trick or Treat Poker Run and Boo Ball on Saturday, Oct. 28. Both events are open to the public.
Start the full day of spooky fun off with a pancake breakfast at the Arrowhead Yacht Club & Marina. The breakfast will be served from 10 a.m. to noon and costs $3 per person.
There are four stops on the Trick or Treat Poker Run: Arrowhead Yacht Club & Marina, Cherokee Yacht Club, Cedar Port Marina and Hammerhead Marina. There will be a trick or treat pick-up at each poker run stop, as well as prizes at each location. Chips can be picked up any time between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and turned in at the Boo Ball.
A Halloween party with a delicious buffet, live music, a cash bar, the Boo Ball promises fun for the whole family. There will be a costume contest with prizes for groups and individuals. Prizes will also be awarded to the winners of the poker run during the Boo Ball.
The Boo Ball will be held in the Grand Ballroom at Cherokee Yacht Club from 5 to 10 p.m. The cost is $35 per person and includes the event, live music and buffet. RSVP to Rachel at (918) 964-9575.

The Lighthouse Supper Club in Ketchum and 360GrandLake.com are hosting a Halloween Dinner Party from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28. The evening’s menu includes fabulous food, spooktacular drink specials and lots of fun.
Every customer who comes in costume will get to draw out of the spook box and possibly win a fabulous door prize for use at The Lighthouse. The best-dressed customer in costume will win a free dinner.
Customers are invited to help choose the employee with the best costume.
Reservations are not required but are suggested so you won’t have to wait on a table.

On Saturday, Oct. 28, Shangri-La Resort is hosting an evening of Halloween fun for adults only. Open for guests 21 years of age or older, the Halloween Dinner and Costume Ball is from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Roosevelt Ballroom at the Shangri-La Resort Hotel.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for a ghoulish buffet dinner. A cash bar will be available. Live music will be provided by Uninvited Guest beginning at 7 p.m. Judging of the costume contest will be at 9 p.m. You must be present to win.
Costume contest prizes include a two-night stay at Shangri-La Resort, golf for two and dinner for two at The Summit Restaurant (excluding alcohol) for the first-place winner. The second-place prize includes a one-night stay at Shangri-La Resort and dinner for two at The Summit Restaurant (excluding alcohol). The third-place winner will receive golf for four at Shangri-La.

Don’t miss Mooney’s Sunset Bar & Grill’s Costume Party on Saturday, Oct. 28. This is the biggest party of the year at the Disney bar and grill. Legacy Entertainment will provide the music and keep the party rocking.
The spooktacular party starts at 8 p.m. and there’s no cover charge.
A costume contest begins at 11:30 p.m. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded for best dressed.
There will also be hot seat drawings all night for free goodies. Enjoy gummy jello shots for $2.

Copperwood Lodge, All American Limo and four drinking establishments have come up with a great way for costumed partiers to experience all of South Grand Lake’s Halloween festivities — the first annual South Grand Lake Halloween Bar Crawl.
On Saturday, Oct. 28, All American Limo will be shuttling partiers for free to Morrow’s Bar and Grill in Eucha, Michelle’s Bar in Ketchum, Pickles Pub in Langley and Mooney’s Sunset Bar and Grill in Disney.
The shuttle will follow the costume contest schedule: Morrow’s Bar and Grill 8 p.m., Michelle’s Bar 9:30 p.m., Pickles Pub 10:30 p.m. and Mooney’s Sunset Bar and Grill 11:30 p.m.
Each location will be offering drink specials, door prizes, giveaways and, of course, the costume parties.
