Pryor Freedom Fest Offers Labor Day Weekend Fun

Pryor Freedom Fest
The Pryor Freedom Fest is an evening of music, fun and fireworks with something for everyone. Americana rock 'n' roll band BC & The Big Rig, out of Tulsa, will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. The evening of fun will end with a stunning fireworks display.

Last year, stormy weather prompted organizers of the Pryor Freedom Fest to move its annual Independence Day celebration from July 3 to Labor Day weekend.

Posting record-setting attendance, Freedom Fest 2016 was so successful, the decision was made to keep the event on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend.

The 2017 Pryor Freedom Fest is set for Sunday, Sept. 3, at Pryor Tiger Football Stadium, 111 Strawhun Road. Gates open at 5 p.m. with the fireworks display beginning at dusk.

Sponsored by the Pryor Area Chamber of Commerce, Freedom Fest is an evening of music, fun and fireworks with something for everyone. The family-friendly event will have games, face painting, bounce house inflatables for children, food vendors and live music.

BC & The Big Rig will be playing from 6 to 8 p.m.

Based out of Tulsa, BC & The Big Rig plays Americana rock ’n’ roll. If you like to rock and roll, the band’s groovy jams and rocking melodies will appeal to your musical soul.

The band’s members are James Purdy, drums and vocals, Chris Bell, bass guitar and vocals, Brandon Clark, guitar and vocals, Ryan McCall, lead guitar and vocals, and Sam Naifeh, lead guitar and vocals.

BC & The Big Rig has shared the stage with The Turnpike Troubadours, Jason Boland and The Stragglers, Gene Simmons of Kiss, The Kentucky Headhunters, .38 Special, Leon Russell, Old Dominion and others.

Whether they are playing in front of 4,000 people or 40, BC & The Big Rig promises to bring the party.

The evening of fun at Pryor Freedom Fest will culminate with a stunning fireworks display at dusk.

Everyone is invited to this free event.
