Ribbon cutting - Smokey's Joint

A Ribbon Cutting was held by the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors on Thursday, November 2, 2023, for Smokey's Joint located at 64260 E. 290 Road in Grove. Four partners, brother and sister Corey and Alicia Plank; their brother-in-law Cody Strouse; and Shaun Moore; bought the business in April and opened in August, after completing a remodel of the store and adding a drive-up. Smokey's Joint is vertically integrated, controlling the seed-to-sale process to achieve greater control over product quality, cost efficiency, and customer experience. Corey and Shaun are long time friends from Grove High School. Corey and Alicia had moved to California where he began his career in cannabis in 2009. Alicia also became interested in the growing process. The two of them relocated to Missouri a few years ago to work in the Hemp industry. They are excited to now be back in the Grove area partnering with Shaun and Cody in this new venture. More details at smokeyjoint.net.
