Volunteer Bell Ringers Needed to Continue Christmas Tradition
The Craig County Salvation Army invites you to help change a life by ringing a bell during its annual Red Kettle Campaign.
Only a few more days remain in the Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle Campaign and the local office is looking for volunteers to help ring the bells and collect donations for the charitable organization.
Since Thanksgiving, Craig County Salvation Army volunteers have been ringing the bells at the Vinita Walmart as part of the annual campaign, which helps raise money for those in need. All money dropped in the red kettle at the Vinita Walmart stays in Craig County.
This year, the Craig County Salvation Army will use these donations to provide help for the homeless, as well as lodging assistance, recovery support, youth services, disaster relief and anti-poverty initiatives in Craig County communities.
The Craig County Salvation Army invites you to join the fundraising effort by helping man the iconic red kettle. Time slots are available through December 29 to volunteer. To sign up, visit http://signup.com/go/ivMiBrL.
Bell ringing is an easy way to help your neighbors in need during the holiday season. Anyone is invited to participate. However, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
When you volunteer to ring the bells, you help improve and even save lives. Statistics show that two hours of time ringing at a Salvation Army red kettle raises about $60 in donations. As in the past, all donations collected in Craig County for the Salvation Army will remain and be used in Craig County.
The Craig County Salvation Army is located inside the Grand Nation office at 123 S. Wilson, in Vinita. For more information, contact Grand Nation at (918) 609-0236 or (918) 276-2192.
