Patriotism Throughout the Thoroughfares of Grove for Summer 2017
Grove Rotarians, under the leadership of Ken Flowers, have worked diligently to “revitalize” American and Oklahoma State flags, which now hang along Highway 59 through Third Street and down Main Street. “Twelve Rotarians worked on the project,” according to Flowers, “ which included adding new wooden flag poles and attachments and then hanging them for the Season, which will run through Veteran’s Day in November.”
Plans for continuing the flag program include hanging the flags for Memorial Day weekend and keeping them up through Veteran’s Day. “We hope the Grove community and our seasonal visitors enjoy the beauty of our flags, Flowers said.
