Committee Chairman: The City of Pryor’s New Comprehensive Plan
In 2015, the City of Pryor, in collaboration with
Pryor’s Business & Industrial Communities,
stakeholders and citizens, initiated the process
to create its first Comprehensive Plan since 1969.
The plan creates a new strategic vision and direction for Pryor that capitalizes on our community’s existing assets, including: our neighborhoods; excellent public school;
MidAmerica Industrial Park; community services;
local parks; and, recreational resources.
In addition to the new strategic vision for the community the Plan also provides for:
improving the economic vitality and visual appearances
of its historic downtown district and adjacent U.S. 69 business corridor;
diversifying housing opportunities; maintaining Pryor’s older neighborhoods;
adding new open space and recreational opportunities.
Houston has been deeply involved in all phases of the development of these projects,
which are vital to the future of our community.
He will discuss where we are in the process and where we need to go from here.
We believe this is one of the most important Forum Luncheons of the year,
for our business community and for our citizens.
We hope to see you there.
