American Flags line Grove Streets
Nearly 200 American flags line Highway 59 from Sailboat Bridge into downtown Grove and along Main Street to Honey Creek Bridge between May and November. On Tuesday, the Grove Rotary Club's Flag Committee made sure this tradition continued when they lined nearly 16 miles of highway. The Rotary purchases the flags and is responsible for putting them out every spring and taking them back down in November.
Rotary members participating in the recent flag-raising included Jerry Ruzicka, Eric Pederson, Sam Grasso, Gary Herrington, Gary Daniels, Russell Mosburg and his son Weston Mosburg, Ken Flowers, Ken Noteboom, Clint Baranowski, Mike Bumpass, Leonard Francis, Michael Mick, Rod McFarland and Don Pappe.
Russell Mosburg and his son Weston helped put up nearly 200 American flags that line highways in Grove. The Grove Rotary Club sponsors the flags and is responsible for putting them up each spring and taking them down in late November.
