Flooding Disaster Donations

Last year’s flooding is still causing problems. The Grove Rotary recently donated $7,250 to two organizations dealing with last year’s disaster.

The Mariee Wallace Museum and Delco Historical Society was severely damaged during last year’s record flooding. The Grove Rotary recently donated $2,250 to help make needed repairs due to water damage at the museum which is in Jay near the courthouse. Charitable Giving Committee chair Kristi Wallace presented the check to Carol Savage.

Last year’s flooding led to the establishment of the Northeast Oklahoma Disaster Recovery Coalition which provides disaster recovery services to individuals and families. The Grove Rotary recently presented the group’s director Mike Johnston with a donation of $5,000. The check was presented by Charitable Giving Committee chair Kristi Wallace.
