Grove Rotary Funds Two Emergency Grants
The Grove Rotary recently funded two emergency grants to help nonprofits react to the COVD-19 pandemic.
One was to the Grove Public Library to purchase books for the Book Depot. The money was used to purchase books that were given away to children and teens in lieu of the traditional in-person reading program. That grant was for $1,089.
A second grant was given to CASA to fund training manuals and background checks for volunteers needed for the area. That grant was for $1,000. The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy so every abused or neglected child in northeast Oklahoma can be safe, have a permanent home, and can thrive.
