Cars for Critters on August 17
Are you a car enthusiast? And an animal lover? Is your idea of enjoying a hot August Saturday spending it at an indoor car show where it will be cool? Then join Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake at its 8th Annual "Cars for Critters" benefit on Saturday, August 17, at the Grove Civic Center from 11 am to 3 pm. It promises to be a fun-filled family affair with free admission.
There will be food to enjoy, your favorite oldies music by DJ Eric Tioga, raffles, door prizes, and lots of American Classic and European Exotic cars, hot rods, trucks, and motorcycles to view. Also, there will be a Dog Adoption showcasing several of our special shelter dogs wanting a forever family. The "Cars for Critters" indoor car show will be great family fun for everyone of all ages to enjoy - all to raise funds to help the homeless animals of Second Chance Pet Rescue.
Show off your special ride by entering your car in the "Cars for Critters" car show. Classic, exotic, hot rods, trucks, motorcycles and special interest cars are all welcome. Car show information and registration form are available online at www.doitforthepets.com or contact Ivan Devitt, Chairman, at 918-791-8328. Registration will be available at the Grove Civic Center on Friday evening, August 16, after 4 pm (cars may be left inside Civic Center on Friday night) and on Saturday morning, August 17, from 7-11 am. Online pre-registration car entry fee is $15; Friday night and Saturday registration car entry fee is $20. Register early as indoor space will fill up quickly.
Trophies will be awarded for "Best of Show", "People's Choice", and "Vice Mayor's Choice". Also awards for Top Models in categories Domestic Cars and Trucks, Import Cars, and Motorcycles, and dash plaques for all car entries. After 3 pm, cars will cruise from the Civic Center to 3rd Street and back.
