Busy Upcoming Week at Shangri-La

It’s a busy weekend at head on the golf course at Shangri-La! Chances for rain Saturday are pretty high, but the rest of the weekend looks nice. We are privileged to host the Nichols, Hobs Apell, Stinsonian, Tony May, Blaney, and Les Ellis Hole-in-One golf groups this week. This is one of the three or four busiest weekends of the year on the course. If you want to arrange for tee times, please get with the Golf Shop as quickly as possible. We’ll do everything we can to accommodate you.
 
Friday, our golf professional will host another “Back to the Basics” group lesson. This week’s focus is on “Bunker Play.” The clinic is from 5:00-6:15. Sign up in the Golf Shop. Friday evening is also the “Yellow Rabbit Run” Horse Race. Entry fee is $10, if you’d like to join the fun. Sign up in the Golf Shop. Monday, the Shangri-La Women’s Golf Association will be back on the course for their regular play day. This week’s format is “Low Putts.”
 
If you haven’t tried the fare at the all-new Eddy’s Lakeside Bar at the marina, we hope you’ll give it a shot this weekend. We have been overwhelmed and humbled by the fabulous response from the Grand Lake community.
 
Remember, we are now open for golf seven-days-a-week. The Summit Restaurant and Buffalo Bar are also open to members and resort guests seven days a week for lunch – and Thursday-Sundayfor dinner. Eddy’s is open daily right now, as well, at least until we can offer additional daily dining options at Doc’s in the hotel (11-8 Sunday-Thursday; 11-late Friday & Saturday).
