Gorgeous Weekend at Shangri-La

The weekend weather is very fall-like this weekend – perfect for golf, boating, or other outdoor activities. Join us at Eddy’s Lakeside Bar this weekend for the last little bit of seasonal fun at the lake’s favorite lakeside spot. Eddy’s will close for the season at the close of business Sundaynight, October 1 (8:00ish). Fortunately, boaters will still have accessible-by-water dining & drinking seven days a week at Doc’s Bar & Grill at the hotel – open 7:00 a.m. until midnight year-round.
 
This week’s “Yellow Rabbit Run” Horse Race is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Friday. Contact the Golf Shop if you would like to sign up ($10 entry). One of our biggest golf tournaments of the year is Sunday – the Jim Beam Folds of Honor Classic with an 11:00 a.m. registration and lunch, and a 1:15 tee off time. We are excited to report that this year’s Classic is a sell-out. Monday, the ladies of the SLWGA take to the course for their annual Rally For The Cure/Guest Day Tournament. 18-holers play at 9:00. 9-holers at 10:30. Proceeds from this year’s tournament go to the Integris Grove Hospital Foundation to assist with medical services for women who could not otherwise afford those services. Ladies, please sign up at the Golf Shop by Saturday so we can get a head count on the number of players.
 
Beginning with the Opening Day today, the Shangri-La Team will be telling our story at the Tulsa State Fair. If you’re planning on coming to the Fair, please plan to stop by and say hello. Our booth is upstairs in the River Spirit Expo Center. We’ll be there through closing day October 8.
 
We have some great groups joining us at the resort and on the golf course again this week. We are delighted to welcome Zoll Medical and the Oklahoma City Adventure club in addition to the Hoover/Casso Wedding Rehearsal Dinner on Friday and their wedding on Saturday. Saturday night, we will also host the Deason/Stem Wedding Reception. We are also pleased to host Harrell's LLC, the Tulsa Men's Club, and the Men's Inter Club Golf Group. 
 
Enjoy college and NFL football action with us at Doc’s and Eddy’s. Both have multiple sports screens to keep up with all the action. Remember, the last day of operation for Eddy’s this season will be Sunday, October 1 – but Doc’s has rapidly become Grand Lake’s favorite sport for watching great sporting events.
 
The Spa at Shangri-La is open at the hotel Wednesday from 10:00-3:00 and Thursday-Sunday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Call for reservations for massage therapy, manicures, pedicures, IV therapy, Botox or filler treatment. The girls at the spa also have mani-pedi packages for kids!
