Halloween Weekend at Shangri-La

The weekend ahead couldn’t be more packed with fun options. Our Family Fun Night Halloween Party is Friday night across the street from the Monkey Island Fire Department. We’ll have bonfires, hayrides, bounce houses for the kids, available snacks & beverages and live music by No Apparent Reason. The party starts at 6:00 and runs until 9:00. Hay rides, food & beverages will be available for sale, but there is no admission charge to this family fun event.
 
PLEASE MAKE RESERVATIONS NOW for adult party time Saturday night – the return of the Shangri-La Halloween Dinner & Dance in the Roosevelt Ballroom at Shangri-La’s Resort Hotel. Our Ghoulish Buffet Dinner begins at 6:00 and the music by Uninvited Guest begins at 7:00 and continues until 10:00. OF COURSE you don’t have to have a costume, but we have great prizes for those who want to compete for the “Best Costume” prizes. The cost is $49 per person or $95 per couple for the party INCLUDING DINNER! If you would like to spend the night at the hotel, cost for the party AND room is $159 per person or $199 per couple. Saturday, the Shangri-La Women’s Golf Association has their Fall Luncheon and Meeting as they plan for the season ahead and have a chance to order great new apparel. Clothing “try on” begins at 10:00 followed by the meeting & lunch. Golf tee times are available at 12:30.
 
Our weekly “Yellow Rabbit Run” horse race is set for Friday at 5:00. Sign up at the Golf Shop if you would like to participate ($10 entry). Monday morning, the SLWGA ladies will be on the course for their Halloween Mixed Scramble – their last golf outing of the season!
 
We are also happy to welcome the Associate Deans & Directors Council of Oklahoma, American Fidelity Assurance Company, and Novartis Pharmaceutical to Shangri-La Resort this week. We hope their stay is productive and enjoyable.
 
Enjoy PGA Golf, college and NFL football action, World Series play, and NBA basketball with us at Doc’s. We have multiple sports screens to keep up with all the games. Doc’s has rapidly become Grand Lake’s favorite sport for watching great sporting events.
 
The Spa at Shangri-La is open at the hotel Wednesday from 10:00-3:00 and Thursday-Sunday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Call for reservations for massage therapy, manicures, pedicures, IV therapy, Botox or filler treatment. The girls at the spa also have mani-pedi packages for kids!
