Merry Christmas from Shangri-La

Merry Christmas! The big weekend is here – and the weather forecast goes along with the season. It’s going to be a little chilly this weekend, especially Christmas Day!
 
The Summit Restaurant, Buffalo Bar, Turn House, Golf Shop, Golf Operations, Marina, and business offices will be closed Christmas Day – but the resort hotel and Doc’s will be open. If you want to avoid all the cooking and cleaning on Christmas Day, please plan to join us for a fabulous traditional Christmas Dinner at Doc’s Bar & Grill. Chef Michael and his crew have planned an outstanding menu. Christmas Dinner service begins at 11:00 a.m. ($35 per person).
 
All Shangri-La facilities except the marina and ship store will reopen for regular business Tuesday, December 26. The marina will remain closed between Christmas and New Year’s, reopening Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
 
If you want to wrap up your Christmas shopping in quick and easy fashion, Shangri-La Gift Cards make the perfect stocking stuffer or a one-size-fits-all gift. Gift Cards are available at the Golf Shop or Hotel Front Desk. They may be used for any purchase anywhere in the resort for golf, food, beverages, shoes & apparel, golf equipment, hotel rooms, spa services or marina purchases. It makes the perfect gift for that person who has everything!
 
Sunday, Executive Chef Michael Bujold has put together some great specials this week for our Sunday Brunch at the Summit. This week’s offerings include Smoked Salmon Benedicts ($15), Festivus Sammy with turkey, stuffing, cranberry chutney, and egg ($12), White Chocolate Strawberry Shortcake French Toast ($12), and the Chicken ‘N’ Biscuit with biscuits, fried chicken medallions, eggs, sausage & potatoes ($15). Sunday brunch specials are offered at the Summit Restaurant from 10:00-2:00 Sundays along with our regular Buffalo Bar Menu.
 
If you haven’t already made reservations for our New Year’s Eve Members’ Wine Dinner, please do so. As always, space is limited for this wonderful evening of fun, food, and great wine. We’ll start with a special hors d’ oeuvre party at 5:30 followed by an exquisite dinner at 6:30. Cost for this always-memorable event is $150 per person.
 
We are running a special New Year’s Eve Accommodations & Transportation package at the resort hotel. Regular guest rooms are reduced to $129 including a late 4:00 p.m. checkout New Year’s Day. We will provide complimentary shuttle service for hotel guests to and from the area’s most popular New Year’s Eve party spots in the area – Shebang, Big Shots, Monkey Island Pub, Blind Swine, Road Hog Saloon, and Cherokee Casino-Grove. We will also have a midnight champagne toast and breakfast buffet at Doc’s at midnight New Year’s Eve.
