Weekend weather for the "pre-Christmas-weekend-weekend" looks great for winter golf outings – and maybe a little sports action on the big screens at the Buffalo Bar and Doc’s. There’s Thunder Basketball, OU and OSU basketball, and great NFL games.
 
Saturday is our annual “Brunch with Santa” event at the Summit Restaurant from 10:00-2:00. This is always a fun event, especially if you have little ones. Santa will be on hand for photo opportunities with professional photography offered by Gary Metcalf.  The brunch buffet is $30 for adults, $15 for kids under 12 – and we’ll have a special activity for the kids where they can design their own Christmas Cookies with Executive Pastry Chef Julie Morgan.
 
Sunday, Executive Chef Michael Bujold has put together some great specials this week for our Sunday Brunch at the Summit. This week’s offerings include Italiano Benedicts ($15), South of the Border pulled pork, eggs, potatoes & tortillas ($12), Pumpkin Pecan Pie Pancakes ($12), and the Continental Divide Breakfast with biscuits, eggs, and corn beef hash ($15). Sunday brunch specials are offered from 10:00-2:00 Sundays along with our regular Buffalo Bar Menu.
 
We are delighted to have some great guests celebrating the holidays with us at Shangri-La this week. The Royal Order of Jesters from Miami and Orizon Aerospace kick off the holiday weekend Friday, followed by celebrations with Dick Lane’s of Grand Lake Saturday, and Grove Small Animal Hospital on Sunday. Welcome!!
 
Shangri-La Gift Cards can make your Christmas Shopping quick and easy. The cards are available at the hotel front desk or in the golf shop and may be purchased in any amount. One size fits all!  They make perfect stocking stuffers, too! Gift cards may be used for any purchase at the Golf Shop, Golf Operations, Marina, Hotel, restaurants and The Spa at Shangri-La.
 
Remember, our culinary crew is happy to make Christmas-Dinner-To-Go for you and your family. We’ll do all the work. You take all the credit. The deadline for ordering dinner-to-go is December 20for pick-up at Doc’s on Christmas Day. Cost is $35 per person. If you haven’t already made reservations for our New Year’s Eve Members’ Wine Dinner, please do so. As always, space is limited for this wonderful evening of fun, food, and great wine. We’ll start with a special hors d’ oeuvre party at 5:30 followed by an exquisite dinner at 6:30. Cost for this always-memorable event is $150 per person.
 
Remember, Doc’s Bar & Grill is open daily from 7:00 a.m. until midnight – and the Spa at Shangri-La is open at the hotel Wednesday from 10:00-3:00 and Thursday-Sunday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.Call for reservations for massage therapy, manicures, pedicures, IV therapy, Botox or filler treatment.
