THURSDAY NIGHT SHRIMP BOIL - LIVE BAND SATURDAY!

There's a full schedule of FUN on the Shangri-La calendar this weekend for golfers and non-golfers alike. The popular Thursday Night Shrimp Boil is Thursday night from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Doc's Patio. Take your choice on the Shrimp Boil selections. Shrimp is $23 for a pount or $12 for a half-pound. If you like, you can select half shrimp and half Andouille sausage for $23. Bring your appetite and your singing voice and join the fun TONIGHT and every Thursday night.

Eddy's Lakeside Bar is open Friday & Saturday (11:00 a.m.-close) and Sunday (11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.). We have LIVE ENTERTAINMENT at Eddy's Saturday night featuring Lucas Gates from 8:00-11:00. At the Summit Restaurant, Terry Jordan provides the music from 6:00-9:00 both Saturday and Sunday evenings. 

GREAT GOLF WEEK AT SHANGRI-LA

The weekend fun starts Thursday evening at 5:00 with the Thursday Night Scramble and Friday evening is our popular "Yellow Rabbit Run" Horse Race (5:00 p.m.). Saturday and Sunday is the biggie of the year - the 2020 Club Championship Tournament. Saturday morning we offer Free Video Analysis/Launch Monitor Sessions from 8:00-10:00 at the Golf Shop. Monday is the Shangri-La Women's Golf Association Play Day. 18-holers start at 9:00 and 9-holers tee off at 10:00. Tuesday morning we will offer a Women's Golf Clinic from 8:30-9:15 - and Wednesday is a Junior Play Day on the course (8:30-11:30). It's another full weekend of golf at beautiful Shangri-La. 

SUMMIT RESTAURANT FEATURES SEAFOOD SPECIALS!

The Summit Restaurant is open for lunch (members and resort guests only) seven days a week, with a reduced menu on Tuesday and Wednesday. Dinner service is offered Thursday-Sunday and is available to the public Sunday evenings. Due to the reduced capacity mandated by CDC guidelines, DINNER RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. This week's seafood special is "Monchong Provencal." The Monchong is a white meat fish with high oil content which preserves moisture and offers a unique deep buttery flavor. With semi-firm meat, it cooks to a tender flaky finish. This week's seafood special features Pan Seared Monchong Fillet, Heirloom Tomatoes, Capers, Lemon Zest, Shallots, Kalamata Olives, Parmesan-Mushreoom Risotto, White Truffle Oil, and Basil, priced at $26.00 per serving.  It was a bit touch-and-go getting our fresh fish from Hawaii this week, due to the Hurricane in the area. Fortunately, it stayed to the north of the Islands, and we were able to get our Monchong...but not much of it.

You may want to mention that you want to reserve the "Monchong Seafood Special" when you make your reservations at the Summit, because we only have 35 servings available.

The Turnhouse offers food and beverage service 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

EXPANDED HOURS AT THE SPA AT SHANGRI-LA

The Spa at Shangri-La is now open four days a week with expanded hours of operation - Thursday-Sunday, utilizing COVID-19 Protocol. Hours of operation are Thursday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. No walk-ins are accepted at this time - appointment only. Spa employees will wear masks and clients are urged to wear them also (but not required). The Spa lobby will not be open to the public - only clients who are there for appointments.

WATER AEROBICS CLASSES ENDING FOR A MONTH!

Water Aerobics instructor Mary Ellen Risinger is taking a well-deserved vacation during the month of August. This morning is the last Water Aerobics Class of the month - then there will be no classes in August. Mary Ellen will be back with you poolside in September.

An inability to reach our staffing goals continues to delay the reopening Doc's Bar & Grill for dine-in service. We are doing everything we can to hire additional staff. If you know of any experienced bartenders and/or servers who would like to build a great career, send them our way. Staffing is the only thing standing in our way of reopening Doc's for dine-in. While in-restaurant dining at Doc's  is temporarily unavailable, food, beer, and wine pick-up is available at Doc’s Bar & Grill from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. daily. For all “To Go” orders place your order by phone (918-257-7777) prior to pick up. Call again when you arrive at the front covered entrance to the hotel and we will deliver your order to your car or you may pick it up at Doc's. 

BOAT RENTALS  AND PARASAILING AVAILABLE

Sail Grand has pontoons, tritoons, jet boats, and personal watercraft available for rental at Shangri-La Marina, as well as yacht charter service and Oklahoma's only parasailing adventures.
