Shangri-La Fall Festival
Shangri-La Resort’s second annual “Community Fall Festival” is scheduled for Saturday evening, October 27 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on wooded resort property immediately adjacent to the Monkey Island Fire Department. The festival is a community-wide event open to the public. Concessions will be available, but there is no admission charge to the family fun event.
Festivities include something for attendees of all ages including bounce house fun and “trunk or treating” adventures for kids, a Halloween costume contest, a giant bonfire, live music from “No Apparent Reason,” and a spooky hayride adventure through the Shangri-La woods.
S’mores kits will be available for those wanting to take full advantage of the bonfire, along with popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs & chili dogs, Frito chili pies, candy apples, candy bars, soda & bottled water, hot chocolate – and wine & beer for the “older” kids in the crowd!
This is the second year for the event which drew hundreds of holiday fun-lovers from throughout the Grand Lake area last year.
