Shangri-La Upcoming Events

This weekend, we are excited to be a part of another wedding, the Andrews/Lynch Wedding. AMGEN is also with us this week, as well as the Quail Creek Masters Golf Group who will have 36 players spending a couple of days on the course. Shangri-La’s Women’s Golf Association and Men’s Golf Associations both kick off their 2018 seasons this weekend, too. The ladies have their Spring Brunch event in the Charles Davis Room Saturday morning at 10:00 followed by golf – and the men have a Mixer Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 on the North Patio of the Club House. The SLWGA also holds their first weekly Play Day of the year Monday. The Home of Hope Golf Team will also be on the course for their weekly play Monday afternoon.

We will also enjoy more great television coverage this weekend. Saturday night, the “Discover Oklahoma” TV show will focus on another offering at the resort – Sail Grand’s boat and personal watercraft rentals, yacht charters and parasailing. The program airs Saturday evening at 6:30 on Channel 8 in Tulsa, Channel 4 in Oklahoma City, Channel 7 in Lawton, and Channel 23 in Wichita. If you can’t be in front of a television, set your DVR.  

Chef Michael and his team have put together another incredible menu for SundayBrunch at the Summit (10:00-2:00). This week's menu includes Braised Pork Belly Eggs Benedict ($14), Shrimp Salad Croissant Sandwich ($14), Strawberry White Chocolate Pancakes ($12), and a Vegetable Frittata ($15). 

The biggest weekend of the year on the PGA Tour has arrived. With multiple sports screens, The Buffalo Bar Doc’s Bar & Grill are great places to watch The Masters. Live coverage begins at 2:00 Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and at1:00 Sunday. We hope you will join us.

Remember, too, Doc’s Bar & Grill now offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. Demand for pizza delivery has grown quickly, so we now have a number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order.
