Shangri-La Weekend Events

It’s a weekend of Valentine’s Day celebration at Shangri-La. Doc’s Bar & Grill offers Valentine Dinner Specials ($40 per person) Friday & Saturday nights. Our members may want to choose the more intimate atmosphere of the Summit Restaurant for Valentine’s celebrations. Chef Michael has planned an extraordinary menu with “Dinner for Two” options ($150 per couple) both Friday & Saturday nights.
 
We are also offering Valentine room specials at the hotel – room, sweets, and champagne for as little as $149 per night through Saturday night. Upgrades on both rooms and champagne are available at reduced pricing, as well. The Spa at Shangri-La is featuring Valentine Couples’ specials, too. That might be the perfect gift!
 
Our friends at “Discover Oklahoma” will feature Shangri-La Resort on Saturday night’s television show airing at 6:30 on KTUL, Channel 8 in Tulsa, KFOR, Channel 4 in OKC, KCTU in Wichita, and KSWO, Lawton. If you have plans Saturday evening, be sure to set your DVR to catch this great feature done by Cindy Morrison with beautiful photography by Tommy Evans.
 
The Shangri-La Team is at the Overland Park, Kansas Convention Center this weekend for the Kansas City Golf Show. We’re working hard to share the news that Grand Lake is the place to be!
 
Chef Michael has put together another fabulous menu for this week’s Sunday Brunch at the Summit. This week’s menu features Louisiana Eggs Benedict with breakfast potatoes ($14), Fried Shrimp Po Boy with potatoes ($13), Mardi Gras French Toast with a side of bacon ($12), and a Fat Tuesday Shrimp Fritatta with Provolone cheese seasoned breakfast potatoes ($15). The full Buffalo Bar menu is available Sunday, as well.
 
Remember, too, Doc’s Bar & Grill now offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-4204 and ask for “Pizza Delivery from Doc’s!” We’ll bring it right to your door.
