Upcoming Events at Shangri-La July 12-18, 2018
After an extraordinary 10-day Independence Day celebration topped off by our Shangri-La Festival on the Grand Lawn and the return of Monkey Island Fireworks to their Shangri-La home, we have enjoyed spending the first part of this week with the younger set at Shangri-La Sports Camp! This week, we’re including everyone in the fun – men, women, and kids. Friday at 5:00 is our weekly “Yellow Rabbit Run” Horse Race, followed by the MGA One-Man Scramble Tournament Saturday morning, and the SLWGA Horse Race Saturdayafternoon at 2:00. Next Monday-Wednesday, we’ll be back with the younger set for our Junior Skills Camp just ahead of our Shangri-La Junior Championship Tournament which begins next Thursday.
This week, we are proud to also be hosting the The Harroz Group, Novartis Pharmaceutical, Robert McCracken and his Kappa Sigma group, Hilti, the Oklahoma Hospital Association, Tyson Foods, Tri-County Tech, Norman Regional Health System, and Integris.
There is live entertainment at Eddy’s Lakeside Bar again this weekend. “Mary-Heather and the Sinners” will be on stage at Eddy’s Saturday night from 8:00-11:00.
Chef Mike and his culinary crew also have a very special Sunday Brunch line-up for the Summit Restaurant this week (10:00-2:00). This week’s menu includes Miami Benedicts, a French Dip Sandwich, Buttered Pecan Pancakes, and a Smoke House Frittata.
As another option, Doc’s Bar & Grill now offers a weekend Breakfast Buffet from7:00 a.m.-Noon on Saturdays and Sundays. Choose from a Continental Breakfast or a Full Buffet. The newly approved change in our liquor law allows also you to enjoy your favorite alcoholic beverage beginning at 10:00 a.m. Sundays. We are now serving Sunday at both Doc’s and the Summit beginning at 10:00 – and at Eddy’s upon opening at 11:00.
Doc’s Bar & Grill is open daily for three meals, and now offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
