Upcoming Events at Shangri-La July 26-August 1, 2018

Our second “Members’ Golf Cart Drive-In Movie Night” is Saturday night on the practice tees south of the club house. We have a true classic for the entire family this month – Raiders of the Lost Ark. We’ll start the movie as soon as it gets dark (approximately 9:00 p.m.), but come early and enjoy and evening of family fun. We’ll have concessions and beverages available and, of course, the Summit Restaurant and Buffalo Bar will be open as well.

It’s a busy weekend on the golf course. We are excited to host the Lobster Golf Group Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Our regular Friday afternoon “Yellow Rabbit Run” Horse Race is set for Friday at 5:00. Monday, the SLWGA ladies will be on the course for the first day of their annual Eclectic Golf Tournament.  The Home of Hope Special Olympics Golf Team will also be playing Mondayafternoon at 5:00; and we have another Junior Players Play Day set next Wednesday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m.

In addition to the Lobster Golf Group, we are happy to be hosting the Oklahoma Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Pfizer Pharmaceutical, he Snider 50^th Wedding Anniversary Dinner, First Life & Casualty Re-Insurance, and Branch Communications  this week.

Chef Mike and his culinary crew also have a very special Sunday Brunch line-up for the Summit Restaurant this week (10:00-2:00). As another option, Doc's Bar & Grill now offers a weekend Breakfast Buffet from 7:00 a.m.-Noon on Saturdays and Sundays. Choose from a Continental Breakfast or a Full Buffet. The newly approved change in our liquor law allows also you to enjoy your favorite alcoholic beverage beginning at 10:00 a.m. Sundays. We are now serving Sunday at both Doc’s and the Summit beginning at 10:00 – and at Eddy’s upon opening at 11:00.

Doc’s Bar & Grill is open daily for three meals, and now offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
