Upcoming Events at Shangri-La May 30-June 5, 2019
Golf, cigars, scotch and martinis are on the weekend agenda at Shangri-La this week. PGA Director of Golf Rob Yanovitch hosts his first “Back to the Basics” clinic Saturday afternoon at 4:00 – “Short Game.” At 6:00 on the Buffalo Bar patio, please plan to join us for a “Cigars, Scotch and Martini Tasting Party.” There is no charge for members – but we will have additional beverages available for purchase. Plan to make an evening of it and make your reservations for dinner at the Summit!
Eddy’s Lakeside Bar had a great Memorial Weekend opening – and we have a great entertainment line-up again this weekend. Saturday night, the The Chris Hyde Trio will entertain from 8:00-11:00. Eddy’s is open Friday-Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until midnight and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Our regular Friday night Yellow Rabbit Run Horse Races are back for the summer. If you would like to play in this fun event (5:00 p.m. Friday), contact the Golf Shop. The Shangri-La Women’s Golf Association will be back on the course Monday for their regular play day (Best In/Best Out (18); Most Fairway Drives (9). The Home of Hope Special Olympic Golf Team will be on the course late Monday.
SUNDAY BRUNCH AT DOC’S!
Sunday Brunch at Doc’s is open to the general public; and brunch specials are priced between $13-$15. This week’s specials include Bayou Catfish Benedict, Pittsburgh “Steel Curtain” Sandwich, Cherry Cheesecake Pancakes, Old Pueblo Skillet, and a Philly Cheesesteak Omelet.
Remember, too, that Doc’s Bar & Grill continues to offer Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday. There is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
