Upcoming Events at Shangri-La May 31-June 6, 2018
With the Memorial Day holiday weekend behind us, we kick off an extremely busy month at Shangri-La this weekend. We are happy to have several groups at the resort this week, including the University of Tulsa Sponsor Outing, the Oklahoma Construction Suppliers Association, The Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma State University Foundation, and Novartis Pharmaceutical, as well as the Cowan Golf Group, and the Coughlin 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. Welcome!
Eddy’s Lakeside Bar will be open from 11:00-midnight Friday and Saturday – and from 11:00-6:00 Sunday. The Bar 211 patio on the roof of Doc’s is a great place to spend weekend afternoons. It is open Friday from 3:00-10:00, Saturday 11:00-10:00, and Sunday 11:00-6:00.
Remember, too, that the Summit Restaurant is now open for dinner serviceThursday-Sunday evenings, and lunch service Thursday-Monday. The Buffalo Bar is also open Monday-Wednesday from 11:00-6:00. Food service at the Buffalo Bar is available Tuesday & Wednesday from the expanded menu at the Turnhouse.
On the golf course, the “Yellow Rabbit Run” weekly horse race is Friday afternoon at 5:00. Sign up at the Golf Shop if you would like to join the fun. Saturday, the SLWGA hosts a 4-person scramble tournament open to all women members at Shangri-La. It’s a 2:00 p.m. shotgun start. Monday, the SLWGA ladies will be back on the course for their regular Play Day; and the Home of Hope Special Olympic Golf Team returns from the holiday weekend for their weekly practice rounds Monday afternoon.
Chef Michael and his culinary crew have a very special Sunday Brunch line-up for the Summit Restaurant this week. The regular Buffalo Bar Menu will be available, as well. Remember, too, that summer hours on in effect. The Summit now offers dinner service Thursday-Sunday and lunch service Thursday-Monday. Bar service is available Monday-Wednesday 11:00-6:00, as well – with food available from the expanded menu at The Turnhouse.
Doc’s Bar & Grill now offers Pizza Delivery Service on Monkey Island Thursday-Monday; and there is a phone number dedicated exclusively to that service. If you live on the Island, just call 918-257-7777 and place your order. We’ll bring it right to your door.
