Disabled American Veterans Golf Scramble will be held on Armed Forces Day May 19th, 2018. It will take place at Cherokee Grove Golf Course with much appreciated major sponsorship from the Bank of Grand Lake. Four man Scramble benefitting the local DAV transportation and service fund.

WHAT ABOUT A CHIPPER?
Are chippers legal golf clubs? Yes as long as the Chipper does not have a putter grip, tow striking faces or appendages for aiming purposes. Additionally, the USGA considers the long chipper to be not traditional and essentially, an otherwise conforming chipper must be approximately the same length as a club of similar loft in the player's bag.
How do you use a chipper?
A chipper is a low loft club, usually with quite a short shaft. Just take a longer putter swing, carry the ball a short distance and allow it to roll along the ground to the hole.
When should you use a golf chipper?
You should use it just from the edge of the green to chip onto the green. You could use it from about 20-30 yards out as long as you are confident with it and there are no bunkers etc in your way.
