JOINING A GOLF LEAGUE
For anyone who’s ever thought about joining a golf league but hesitated for fear of embarrassing yourself, this is for you.
For anyone who’s looking for a little more structure in their golf life beyond just hitting range balls on weeknights this is for you.
Playing golf offers many benefits – exercise, self challenge and increased confidence are a few. But perhaps the best thing about golf is the social aspect.
Think about it. Golf is a game that is played over an expanse of time at a casual pace, and includes conversations on everything from swing tips to the story behind the new club head. What’s not to love about that?
Typically featuring weekly outings, golf leagues can do wonders for those who want to develop a deeper bond with a set of fellow linksters. And for those who want a little more competition, signing up for a league can make every shot a little more meaningful.
Give league play a try, you will like it.

Results of Monday Night Skins game and Closest to the Pin were as follows: Skins winners were Jerry Ogden Jr and Jerry Madison. CTP winners hole #2 Jerry Odgen Jr and on hole #8 Jerry Madison. We had a great turn out. Don’t miss out!!
Cherokee Grove Saturday and Sunday Skins. 9 a.m. start time. Cheapest SKINS GAME you will find.
Wednesday Morning League for Senior men at Cherokee Grove. Just stop by the Cherokee Grove club house. This will be a Senior Men’s league for 60 and over playing 9 holes. $20 fee includes cart fee and entry in $5 skins game. (Members play for $10) Tee off each Wednesday promptly at 8 a.m. This Leaque has begun play. Lots of interest and good turn outs. Do not miss out.
Patricia island Country Club Ladies Golf League
May 9 – Sept. 26 Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m. for 9 or 18 holes. There also will be 9 holes at 5:15 p.m. Please call or text Ileta Bray 918-801-5912 for details.
