Grand River Dam Authority Floodwater Release Bulletin

At 8:45 AM on Wednesday, March 12:

  • Grand Lake elevation was 744.38 feet.

  • At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, one (1) main spillway gate was open at Pensacola Dam, discharging 585 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.

  • Three (3) units were online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing 6,780 cfs of water through generation.

  • Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 7,365 cfs.

  • Inflows into Grand Lake totaled 3,133 cfs.

  • Lake Hudson elevation was 629.72 feet.

  • No floodgates were open at Robert S. Kerr Dam

  • Three (3) units were online at the Robert S. Kerr Dam powerhouse, releasing 4,860 cfs of water through generation.

  • Inflows into Lake Hudson totaled 7,618 cfs.

* Related to the dam monitoring exercise at the Robert S. Kerr Dam, the elevation of Lake Hudson is expected to reach 630′ on Wednesday, March 12. It will be held there for monitoring exercises until Saturday, March 15, when the level will begin to drop.
